Why It's Okay If You Haven't Found Your Life's Purpose (Yet)

As someone who has spent a lot of time trying to find their purpose, and in-part still working to do so, I realize that I spent a great deal of time frustrated that I hadn’t figured it all out yet. I was jealous of people that knew early in their lives that that they wanted to be a musician or an artist, and were comfortable struggling at first because they had found their passion.. Or someone who wants to be a doctor or nurse, because they feel the call to help others and care for those in need. While I still don’t think I’ve found my “Purpose” (if there is such a thing; I’m still exploring this for myself) I feel more comfortable now in creating a life, that is enjoyable to me and trust that the rest will follow. I look back on the days where I spent so much time feeling “lost”, or trying to figure it all out before I made my next move. I realize now that I wasn’t lost, I was just early in my process. I think anyone who has been overly critical of themselves or comparing where they are in their life compared to anyone else, should take a step back and realize it’s okay if you haven’t figured it all out yet. It’s likely you are still learning essential life lessons, getting to know yourself a little bit better, and possibly even going through a series of experiences that will let you know what you DON’T want, so as to give you more clarity on what you DO want. Or maybe you’re only now realizing some of the old “programming” or beliefs that were instilled upon you at a young age that are no longer serving you now (ie. limiting beliefs, irrational fears, old self images, etc.). But no matter where you are in your process, give yourself credit for where you are today, and realize that the tools, experience, and relationships that you’ve developed thus far have the potential to propel you through the next steps of your life. May God, in Whatever Form that May Be, Bless & Guide the Next Steps of Your Journey! 🙏🏼🌺💗
